The Law Faculty, University of Maribor kindly invites you to the international conference Corporate Entities in the Market and European Dimensions that will take place in Portorož from the 17-19 of May, 2018. The annual conference will bring together some of the leading members of the international legal community from Central/Eastern European countries to discuss pressing questions on corporate entities with a European dimension. The conference will consider some of the most pressing themes in corporate and commercial law (with a European dimension) as it responds to social and political challenges in an ever-changing environment. While the majority of the topics will be in Slovenian, there will be stimulating discussions in English held on both Friday and Saturday evening.

  • Which part of the foreign judgement is subject to recognition and enforcement? The complete text or just the sentence?
  • How does the new instrument - the application for (non-) recognition or (non-) enforcement fit in with national systems?
  • Suspension of enforcement – from the perspective of different national systems.
  • The nature of national courts decisions on recognition and enforcement after abolition of exequatur- declaratory or constitutive.
  • Proposals regarding legal remedies against court decision on recognition and enforcement in the state of enforcement.
