- March 2025 – Study materials, University of Maribor Publishing
As part of the Jean Monnet Chair activities, Prof. Dr. Janja Hojnik prepared study material entitled “Introduction to Digital Single Market Law and Legal Aspects of Servitisation in the EU” (DOI: 10.18690/um.pf.4.2025). The material introduces students to the legal and strategic foundations of the EU Digital Single Market and explores the concept of servitisation as a megatrend that shifts businesses from selling products to providing service-based solutions.

As part of the Jean Monnet Chair activities, Prof. Dr. Janja Hojnik published an op-ed in EU Law Live entitled “Cultural Protection or Market Distortion? The French Minimum Books Delivery Fee Before the CJEU (C-366/24)”. The paper reflects on the impact of online bookselling on traditional local bookstores and analyses the pending case before the Court of Justice of the EU. - September 2025 (forthcoming) – Pravna praksa
As part of the Jean Monnet Chair activities, Prof. Dr. Janja Hojnik authored an article entitled “Restrictions on Short-Term Rental of Apartments in the Light of EU Law”, to be published in Slovenian legal review Pravna praksa in September 2025. The paper responds to Slovenia’s new Hospitality Act, expected to be adopted on 22 September 2025, and assesses whether the new Slovenian rules comply with EU law, particularly the Treaty provisions on the free movement of services and the Services Directive.

Prof. Dr. Janja Hojnik collaborated with the Slovenian Press Agency’s fact-checking platform NE/JA to clarify a prevalent public misconception. She provided expert legal commentary on the claim that the President of the European Commission could submit an incomplete list of commissioner candidates to the European Parliament.
