MUNLaws

MUNLawS is a competition that is a part of the Model United Nations (MUN) conferences. These conferences deal with current topics, most usually recently problematics in the international community. Every delegate presents an individual country and the debate is held in English, which helps the students with their legal and language skills. In 2015, there were more than 120 participants from 28 different countries and 49 different faculties.The competition took place at the Ljubljana Faculty of Law.

Our students participated in the MUNLawS for the first time in 2016. Students Carlo Dirotti, Petra Zupančič, Nikola Georgievski, Leon Lah and Nina Marin have been preparing for the competition with the help of the assistant Jan Stanjko. They won the award for “Best University Delegation”. Carlo Dirotti has additionally won the award for “Best University Delegate” and Petra Zupančič received an honourable mention for being one of the five best delegates in the United Nations Human Rights Council.
