The project coordinator, Dr. Gregor Maučec, attended the American Society of International Law International Courts and Tribunals Interest Group (ICTIG) Works-in-Progress Conference at the University of Ottawa - Faculty of Law | Common Law on 19 February 2026. The conference was co-organized by Prof. Vladyslav Lanovoy and Philipp Kotlaba under the auspices of Neuberger-Jesin Research Chair in International Conflict Resolution. Gregor presented his research paper entitled “Comparative Judicial Intuition and Legitimacy: A Tale of Three International Criminal Courts” and acted as a commentator on another participant’s paper entitled “Evidence Scholarship in International Law: Rudimentary Iterations of the Rationalist Paradigm”. The authors and commentators for excellent papers included Doruk Erhan, Matei Alexianu, Mike Videler, Qian Zhang, Sitong Li, Illia Chernohorenko, Juan-Pablo Pérez-León-Acevedo, Charalampos Giannakopoulos, Philipp Kotlaba, Juliana Valle P. Guerra, Apollin Koagne Zouapet, Wolfgang Alschner, Yuri Parkhomenko, Miriam Cohen, Céline Lévesque, John Packer and the anonymous peer-reviewer.
